Health Benefits of Lemons

Lemons…yellow, bright, fresh, and bitter sweet to taste. Lemons are actually very beneficial to our bodies and our overall health. Lemons are a superfood full of medicinal, and heath benefits.

Lemons, although they are very acidic to taste, they are actually alkaline forming for our body. In fact they are one of the most alkaline forming foods; this makes them great for balancing a highly acidic condition in the body. Lemons are one of the very few foods on this planet to have more negative ions than positive ions, therefore helping to alkalize the body. The pH of a lemon is around 2.3, which seems odd to most people since it is very acidic on a pH scale. However, when our bodies consume the lemon juice it is very alkalizing. Having an alkaline body is beneficial for our entire bodies health.
